Social Enterprise Ghana (SE Ghana) is the national network for social entrepreneurs, innovation hubs, accelerators, impact investors, and enterprise support organizations in Ghana.
The organization currently has more than 1,250 members working across different sectors, including climate-smart agribusiness, circular economy, health services, inclusive finance, TVET, and education.
SE Ghana advocates for policies that create a supportive environment for social enterprises. In addition, the organization helps members through training, research, skills development, market access, technology support, and access to finance.
Furthermore, SE Ghana aims to help social enterprises grow and thrive by facilitating access to funding opportunities. The organization is working towards catalysing $1 billion in funding for social enterprises in Ghana by 2030.
SE Ghana advocates for business-friendly policies for social enterprises. We also support members through training, research, market access, technology, skills development, and access to finance.
To build a strong and sustainable social enterprise ecosystem in Ghana that promotes shared prosperity and lasting impact.
Social Enterprise Ghana and its members have trained more than 12,000 social businesses and supported over 1,250 members across Ghana.
In addition, the organization has helped members participate in trade fairs and Buy Social campaigns to increase visibility and grow their businesses. These initiatives have also raised awareness about social enterprises in Ghana.
Furthermore, SE Ghana supported the launch of Ghana’s National Advisory Board for Impact Investing, alongside several other important initiatives.
As a result of these efforts, many social businesses have improved the livelihoods of vulnerable and low-income individuals across the country.
Through continuous advocacy, Social Enterprise Ghana also contributed to the development of a draft Social Enterprise Policy, which is currently under cabinet review by the Ministry of Trade and Industry. The organization continues to promote inclusive and socially responsible business models in Ghana.
