FEMALES IN GREEN AND DIGITAL SKILLS FOR JOBS AND ENTERPRISE CREATION PROJECT

PROJECT NAME ; HEALTH ENTREPRENEURSHIP GHANA PROJECT

SOCIAL ENTERPRISE GHANA  in partnership with ANESVAD FOUNDATION  and GARAPENENERAKO LANKIDETZAREN EUSKAL AGENTZIA  is implementing a Health Entrepreneurs Ghana Project.  This health entrepreneurs Project aims to identify and support young health social entrepreneurs in Ghana, empowering them to create sustainable ventures that address healthcare challenges especially Neglected Tropical Diseases in various communities in Ghana.

Activities 

 

1.Social Enterprise Ghana  will conduct a nationwide survey to identify health entrepreneurs, especially those focused on Neglected Tropical Diseases, creating a comprehensive database.

2..Social Enterprise Ghana will  collaborate with health social entrepreneurs, experts, and stakeholders to develop a comprehensive training manual for Neglected Tropical Diseases entrepreneurship. Topics include business planning, marketing, finance, and legal considerations.

3.Social Enterprise Ghana will  select and train  30 individuals with promising health entrepreneurial ideas, especially in Neglected Tropical Diseases, for BDS training and ongoing support with a grant of 50, 000 euros from Anesvad foundation . This includes workshops, mentorship, coaching, and access to resources to enhance skills and develop sustainable ventures and grant being provided to innovative and promising health entrepreneurs .

4.Social Enterprise Ghana organizes a Health Entrepreneurship Forum to facilitate networking, knowledge sharing, and collaboration among health social entrepreneurs and relevant stakeholders, particularly those addressing Neglected Tropical Diseases. 

Outcomes  

  1. Social Enterprise Ghana conducts comprehensive mapping of Neglected Tropical Diseases health social entrepreneurs in Ghana.
  2. Social Enterprise Ghana develops a well-designed and user-friendly training manual for Neglected Tropical Diseases health entrepreneurship.
  3. Social Enterprise Ghana enhances Neglected Tropical Diseases health entrepreneurial skills and knowledge among 30 selected individuals.
  4. Social Enterprise Ghana establishes a strong Health Entrepreneurship ecosystem to promote a healthy community for underserved individuals.
  5. The Anesvad Foundation provides grants to support select health entrepreneurs who successfully complete all sections of the project.

PROJECT NAME: FEMALE IN GREEN AND DIGITAL SKILLS FOR JOBS AND ENTERPRISE CREATION

PARTNERS:  AFRICAN UNION  DEVELOPMENT AGENCY(AUDA – NEPAD) , EUROPEAN UNION , GIZ

DURATION: APRIL 2024 – DECEMBER 2025

OBJECTIVE:

The project seeks to enhance the employability and entrepreneurship skills among vulnerable women especially young girls, young women, persons with disabilities and refugee women, necessary for their economic resilience against Covid-19.

ACTIVITIES:

  1. Set up of state-of-the-art training center to train vulnerable communities especially young girls, young women, persons with disabilities and refugee women in green and digital skills.
  2.  The project will set up the training to upskill 40 staff members of Social Enterprise Ghana’s Innovation Support Organization, aiming to develop skills promoting employability and social enterprise creation among vulnerable communities, particularly targeting young girls, young women, persons with disabilities, and refugee women.
  3.  The project will provide training, coaching, mentoring, Business Development Services, access to finance and market services support, assistance with business registration and digitalization, networking opportunities, forum access, and policy dialogue sessions to 200 vulnerable women, with a special focus on young girls, young women, persons with disabilities, and refugee women.
  4. The project will facilitate cross-border exchanges and peer learning sessions with social enterprise networks in Nigeria, Kenya, and Ethiopia.

 

OUTCOMES:

The project aims to empower vulnerable communities, especially young girls, women, persons with disabilities, and refugees, through a state-of-the-art training center and upskilling of Social Enterprise Ghana’s staff, while facilitating cross-border exchanges with social enterprise networks in Nigeria, Kenya, and Ethiopia.
