Learn About the ACTIVATE Project

The Accelerating Change Through Innovation in Agricultural TVET (ACTIVATE) Project is a five-year initiative supporting Ghanaian youth to secure dignified and sustainable employment through skills development in Agriculture TVET and adjacent sectors. Funded by the Mastercard Foundation, the project seeks to train and empower 20,000 youth with at least 70% being young women through demand-driven technical training, work readiness coaching, entrepreneurship development, and strong private sector partnerships.

SOCIAL ENTERPRISE GHANA ORGANISED TOT FOR ACTIVATE FACILITATOR 

Social Enterprise Ghana in collaboration with  World University Service of Canada (WUSC) as part of the ACTIVATE Project organized a seven-day Training of Trainers (TOT) workshop for  80 facilitators from partnering hubs and training centers across the 16 regions of Ghana. The session was an upskilling event  that provided the facilitators a hands-on learning experience in the key trade areas under the project.   
The workshop equipped facilitators with the necessary skills and methodologies to effectively train and mentor learners under the ACTIVATE Project, ensuring they receive industry-relevant  Competency Based Training skills to enhance their employability and entrepreneurship opportunities.

SOCIAL ENTERPRISE GHANA ENGAGES CTVET FOR ACTIVATE PROJECT

Social Enterprise Ghana participates in a three-day CTVET Planning Workshop organised by World Uninversity Services of Canada(WUSC) under the ACTIVATE Project. This impactful gathering brought together ACTIVATE Project partners, Akenten Appiah-Menka University of Skills Training and Entrepreneurial Development (AAMUSTED), Commission for Technical and Vocational Educational and Training (CTVET), Sector Skills Bodies  and key stakeholders to develop a comprehensive action plan aimed at ensuring the successful implementation of the ACTIVATE Project
The workshop gave a platform to strategize and align on better deliverying Technical and Vocational Education and Training(TVET),  capacity building for the ACTIVATE Project. The workshop reinforced the commitment to advancing vocational and technical education initiatives through partnership and innovation to create dignified jobs for the youth.

ACTIVATE ORGANIZED MONITORING, EVALUATION, RESEARCH, AND LEARNING (MERL) WORKSHOP

Social Enterprise Ghana together with other anchor partners (CERATH Development Organization, World University Service of Canada) of the Accelerating Change Through Innovation In Agricultural TVET (ACTIVATE) Project participated in a two-day MERL workshop. The objectives of the training included developing a clear understanding of the project’s key indicators to measure success, using the Level of Achievement (LOA) targets for each indicator, defining the data collection processes using the project report templates, and how to submit reports to the MERL database system.

SOCIAL ENTERPRISE GHANA PARTICIPATES IN ACTIVATE SCOPING EXERCISE 

Social Enterprise Ghana together with its partners World University Service of Canada (WUSC) and CERATH Development Organization embarked on a nationwide scoping exercise under the ACTIVATE Project. The scoping exercise was to enable the ACTIVATE project team to engage relevant stakeholders across the TVET and Agriculture sector for insight and feedback on a successful execution of the ACTIVATE project.
