On December 6th, 2017 Social Enterprise Ghana organised a meeting with the Deputy Minister of Trade Hon. Carlos Ahenkora and representatives from the Ministry of Finance and Ministry of Parliamentary Affairs. This meeting was to interact with Ghanaian social enterprises to understand their impact and needs as a follow up to a study tour to the UK undertaken by the Minister and the team. Social enterprises who participated in the meeting included Moringa Connect, Trotro Tractor, Zaacoal and Street Library. The enterprises shared about their organisations, growth plans, impact and challenges and emphasised to the Minister the need to finalize Ghana’s social enterprise policy to help build a thriving social enterprise sector in Ghana.
